Mental Health First Aid 2-Day Accredited Course (Team)
However your workplace is changing, supporting mental health and wellbeing is more vital than ever.
Working with our outstanding instructor, this 2-day course, accredited by Mental Health First Aid England, provides delegates in your organisation with the skills, knowledge and understanding to effectively support those experiencing distress.
This two day course qualifies employees as Mental Health First Aiders, giving them:
- An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of a range of mental health issues
- Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress using the Mental Health First Aid action plan
- Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
- Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether through self-help resources, internal support such as an Employee Assistance Programme, or external sources such as their GP
- An understanding of how to keep themselves safe while performing their duties
Format
- Four manageable sessions
- Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities
- Each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan
- We limit numbers to 16 people per course (12 if delivered online) so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn
Everyone who completes the course gets:
- A certificate of attendance to say they are a Mental Health First Aider
- A manual to refer to whenever they need it
- A quick reference card for the Mental Health First Aid action plan
- A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support their own mental health
About your trainer
Jo Wood is an experienced mental health trainer and therapist who is passionate about raising people’s understanding about poor mental health and, most importantly, what we can do about it.
Jo has spent over 20 years supporting people and building healthy organisations. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, a qualified Human Givens Psychotherapist, and is an Instructor Member with Mental Health First Aid England (Adult and Youth Programme).

£250 + VAT per person, with a minimum group size of 10 delegates

- Maximum group size of 16 for onsite delivery
