HR Leaders of East Anglia Conference 2024

October 1 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

£78.00

Join us for the 2024 HR Leaders of East Anglia Conference on October 1st!

Trinity Park, Ipswich

9am-1pm

For over a decade, we have been creating annual events that give HR leaders from across our region a place to network, learn and be inspired.

Book a ticket to this year’s event, because you are not going to want to miss out on the incredible speakers we have this year.

This year, the theme of the conference is ‘Speaking Truth to Power’. The desire for people to feel heard and valued is stronger than ever – both inside and outside of work. In HR, you hold such responsibility to inform leaders of the truth they need to hear about their organisations, give employees a voice in their workplace experience, and champion the value HR brings.

With all that in mind, we wanted to invite speakers whose experiences of challenging the status quo have created profound changes for their industries:

Sarah Hancock – HR Director for Sizewell C

This once-in-a-generation nuclear power construction project near Leiston on the Suffolk coast encompasses billions of pounds of investment in the County, thousands of jobs and apprenticeships and significant opportunities to develop diversity and inclusion in the construction and nuclear power industries. Of course, all this work is being done under the scrutiny of government, industry, the media and local communities, and Sarah will share the story of her ongoing work to craft a culture that will help deliver Sizewell C during its construction phase and go on to become one of the region’s key employers.

Clare Wright – most recently Chief People Officer of Jardine Motors Group

When she joined JMG in 2015, the automotive industry was suffering from an image problem – a lack of representation and the perception of hard sell tactics made a career in the industry less than appealing to many talented job hunters. Over the next 8 years Clare was instrumental in re-imagining the workplace experience – from how pay was structured, to how career development was supported and how creating a workplace that embraced diverse and inclusive teams produced outstanding commercial results. Her story shares how you connect hard data with emotional intelligence to influence not only your organisation, but a whole industry.

Sarah West – CEO of Harwich Haven Authority

As the first female commander of a UK naval warship and now the first female CEO in the 160-year history of Harwich Haven Authority, Sarah’s trailblazing career belies her simple view on leadership: do what feels right. She’ll be sharing her journey through the glass ceilings and closed doors that she has navigated to lead high performing teams, and demonstrate why every workplace works more effectively when transparent communication is prioritised by leaders.
