Hello from the HR cheer squad

I’ve had so many marketing emails in my inbox over the last few weeks from companies expressing concern for my health and reminding me that the sender is ‘there for me’, I’ve actually been putting off writing this update for fear of falling in to the same repetitive trap.

Thing is though, I do care about how you are and what you’re doing. I miss seeing you at events, I miss running our own networking events. And while our team was always set up for remote working, learning how to build strong connections with people without those face to face meetings – well that’s been a new one for us. You too, I bet.

The good thing is that, while many things have changed immeasurably in recent weeks – even in the last few days – you can take come comfort that things at Waddington Brown remain reassuringly the same.

We are recruiting for clients who are interviewing either entirely remotely or on-site, adhering to social distancing guidelines. Training and outplacement is still being delivered using the various video platforms that have now become part of daily life. Our HR Associates are working with clients through this challenging time, including supporting frontline workforces.

We know that many of you have concerns for yourself, your teams and your organisation and HR can be a lonely place sometimes – balancing the interests of business and people is tough enough when times are ‘normal’. So, if you just need someone to talk to that ‘gets’ your HR world then that’s fine. Give us a call and we are here to listen. You are doing an amazing job.

Call our mobiles, email or leave a message on the office number and we will call you back.

Being practical of course, we have looked at specific ways that we may be able to help at the moment and they are listed below, along with some useful links to other resources.

Take care and stay safe and remember to reach out if you need us; we are all in this together.
