Open. Authentic. Emotional. Ambitious. Grateful. Funny. Human. We spent a wonderful final morning in the company of the Waddington Brown HR Leadership Academy group, each of whom shared their #thisisme story of who they are, what they value, why they love what they do and where they’re heading.

From the start of the personal development programme in March 2021, delegates have challenged themselves through personal coaching, explored strategic thinking and leadership, communication and sharing the value HR brings to an organisation, stakeholder management and defining the type of leader they want to be.

They have also heard from HR Directors and CEOs, who shared their own stories of developing as leaders – the good, bad and the ugly – the choices and compromises they made, their advice, and what they look for in people to demonstrate their ability to lead with integrity.

Thank you to everyone involved in the delivery of this year’s Academy – coaches, trainers and speakers. And thank you to all the delegates for being open in your learning, and willing to continually challenge yourselves.

Our next HR Leadership Academy begins in March, we can’t wait to meet the next group.
